How to Gain Weight

High protein diet helps to gain weight by increasing your muscle strength. You should eat proteins in form of milk, cheese, peanut butter, dates, lentils and legumes. Banana milk shake is a healthy option for weight gain. Drink one glass of banana shake in morning and one glass of mango shake (during mango season) in evening to gain weight.
Other foods that help in weight gain include Barley (boil with milk, add honey), Dry Dates (mix with milk), Almonds and Honey.
A balanced diet is very essential for healthy weight gain which is characterized by muscle gain and not fat gain. People have a tendency to consume foods that are high in fat or contain a lot of energy (calories).  This may be due to cravings for fatty or starch foods or due to personal choice of such foods. High calorific foods can harmfully affect the body and may lead to health problems.
